Lagotto Romagnolo

About the Lagotto Romagnolo

An ancient water retriever from the Romagna region of Italy that became the specialist truffle-hunting dog when the marshes it worked were drained. Its keen nose finds the valuable fungi underground, and it is less likely than pigs to eat them. Its dense, curly, waterproof coat sheds very little. Cheerful and eager to work, it needs mental stimulation.
