About the Labrador Retriever
The most popular dog breed in the United States for over 30 years. Originally bred as a fishing dog in Newfoundland, they were refined in England as gun dogs. Exceptionally gentle mouths, making them ideal for retrieving game without damage. Three recognized colors: black, yellow, and chocolate. Excel as guide dogs, therapy dogs, and search-and-rescue dogs due to their eager-to-please temperament.
