About the Cocker Spaniel
The smallest member of the sporting group. Lady from Lady and the Tramp is a Cocker Spaniel. Originally bred to hunt woodcock (hence the name). Their long, silky ears require regular cleaning to prevent infections. The breed split into American and English varieties. The most registered AKC breed in the 1950s. Their merry disposition makes them excellent therapy dogs.
