Finnish Spitz

About the Finnish Spitz

The national dog of Finland, a foxlike hunting dog bred to find game birds such as capercaillie and hold them in a tree by barking until the hunter arrives. Famous as a barking bird dog, and Finland holds competitions to crown the King of Barkers. Its golden-red coat and curled tail are striking. Lively and independent, it is good with children but very vocal.
