About the Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Developed in Staffordshire from crosses of bulldogs and terriers, originally for cruel blood sports that were later banned. Today it is known as an affectionate, people-loving companion that is especially fond of children. The Kennel Club recognized the breed in 1935. Muscular and strong for its size, it is one of the most popular breeds in the United Kingdom.
