About the Bull Terrier
Created by James Hinks in Birmingham in the mid-1800s, originally as an all-white dog nicknamed the White Cavalier. Its long, egg-shaped head with no stop is unique among dog breeds. Muscular and clownish, it needs firm, patient training. Famous Bull Terriers include Bullseye, the Target mascot, Spuds MacKenzie from beer advertising, and General George Pattons dog Willie.
