About the Jack Russell Terrier
Named after the Reverend John Russell, a nineteenth-century parson in Devon who bred small white terriers to bolt foxes from their dens during hunts. Mostly white so that hunters would not mistake them for the fox. Famous for boundless energy and a strong prey drive, they need plenty of exercise and mental work. A Jack Russell named Moose played Eddie on the sitcom Frasier.
