About the Newfoundland
Bred as working dogs for fishermen in Newfoundland, Canada. Have webbed feet and a water-resistant double coat, making them exceptional swimmers. Known for instinctive water rescue — they will jump in to save anyone struggling. A Newfie named Seaman accompanied Lewis and Clark on their entire expedition. Napoleon was once rescued from drowning by a Newfoundland. Gentle giants especially good with children.
