About the Kerry Blue Terrier
A working terrier from County Kerry in Ireland, used for hunting, herding, and guarding. Puppies are born black, and the soft, wavy coat gradually clears to blue-gray by around eighteen months. Its coat sheds very little. The Irish revolutionary leader Michael Collins owned and exhibited a Kerry Blue named Convict 224. Brave and bold, it can be dog-aggressive without good socialization.
