About the Italian Greyhound
A miniature sighthound kept as a companion since ancient times and wildly popular among Italian nobility during the Renaissance. Frederick the Great of Prussia was devoted to his Italian Greyhounds. Elegant and fast, it loves to sprint but also seeks warmth and blankets because of its thin coat and low body fat. Its slender legs are prone to fractures in puppies.
