Chihuahua

About the Chihuahua

The smallest dog breed, named after the Mexican state. Believed to descend from the Techichi, a companion dog of the ancient Toltecs and Aztecs. Their brain is the largest relative to body size of any dog. The Taco Bell Chihuahua and Paris Hilton Tinkerbell made them pop culture icons. Can be prone to shivering due to their small size. Often live 15-18 years, one of the longest lifespans.
