About the Greyhound
The fastest dog breed, able to reach speeds of around 70 km/h in a few strides. Sighthounds of this type are shown in ancient art and were prized by nobility for coursing hares. Today they are best known from racing, and many retired racers are adopted as pets. Despite their athleticism they are calm indoors and are often called 45-mph couch potatoes.
