About the Beagle
One of the oldest hunting breeds, dating back to Roman times. The breed as we know it was developed in England in the 1830s. Their incredible sense of smell makes them the breed of choice for airport detection dogs. Snoopy from Peanuts is the world most famous beagle. They have about 220 million scent receptors (humans have 5 million). Known for their distinctive bay howl.
