About the Doberman Pinscher
Created in the 1890s by Karl Friedrich Louis Dobermann, a German tax collector who wanted a guard dog for his rounds. Combines several breeds including Rottweiler, Greyhound, and Weimaraner. Naturally protective without being aggressive. A Doberman named Kurt was the first K-9 casualty in WWII, saving 250 Marines at Guam. Docked ears and tail are now banned in many countries.
