About the Cairn Terrier
One of the oldest terrier breeds, from the Isle of Skye and the Scottish Highlands, where it hunted foxes and rodents among the piles of stones called cairns. Small, shaggy, and fearless, it has a weather-resistant coat. A female Cairn named Terry played Toto in the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz and appeared in over a dozen other movies.
