Bullmastiff

About the Bullmastiff

Developed in nineteenth-century England by crossing Mastiffs with Bulldogs to help gamekeepers catch poachers on large estates. It would silently track an intruder and pin him down without mauling. Known as the gamekeepers night dog. Calm and docile at home, it is devoted to its family and a natural guardian. Its short coat is easy to keep but it drools.
