Brussels Griffon

About the Brussels Griffon

Originally kept by coachmen in Brussels to hunt rats in stables, it became a favorite of Belgian royalty in the late 1800s. Its almost human facial expression, with a large forehead and bearded muzzle, is its trademark. A Griffon named Jill played Verdell in the 1997 film As Good as It Gets. It comes in rough and smooth coat types and tends to bond closely with one person.
