Borzoi

About the Borzoi

A large, elegant sighthound bred by the Russian aristocracy to hunt wolves in teams. Great hunting estates kept hundreds of them before the Russian Revolution, after which the breed declined in its homeland. Its narrow head and silky, wavy coat give it a refined look. Quiet and catlike at home, but it will chase anything that runs. Formerly known as the Russian Wolfhound.
