About the Bearded Collie
A shaggy herding dog of the Scottish Highlands, bred to work sheep and cattle in rough terrain and harsh weather. Known for its bouncy enthusiasm and its long, flowing coat. Puppies are often born dark and fade with age before darkening again. Nearly lost after the Second World War, the breed was revived largely through the efforts of one breeder, Olive Willison. Needs lots of exercise.
