About the Anatolian Shepherd
A rugged livestock guardian from the Anatolian plateau of Turkey, bred to protect flocks from wolves and bears in a harsh climate. In Namibia the Cheetah Conservation Fund places Anatolians with farmers to guard goats, which reduces the number of cheetahs shot by farmers. Independent and protective, it needs space and careful socialization. Usually fawn with a black mask.
