About the Afghan Hound
An ancient sighthound from the mountains of Afghanistan, where its thick, silky coat protected it while hunting hares, gazelles, and other game over rough terrain. Its aristocratic bearing and flowing coat make it a show ring star. Independent and aloof, it can be challenging to train. Pablo Picasso owned an Afghan Hound named Kabul. It needs extensive grooming.
